The original Raeburn painting commonly known as " Boy and Rabbit " belongs to the Royal Academy of Arts, London.

It was presented to the Royal Academy by Raeburn as his diploma piece after his original submission was refused on the grounds that self-portraits were
not acceptable. The boy, Henry Raeburn Inglis, was the son of Raeburn's elder step-daughter, Ann-Leslie, and James Phillip Inglis
