Hello, This is in reference to "The Boy with Rabbit" painting/print. My husband and I just purchased a very old, old painting with the same subject. The painting is very large, which measures 24" x 34" (inches) We bought it at an antique mall in Kentucky, USA. The painting is not framed. Unfortunately it is damaged, very dirty with a lot of soot, flaking paint, etc. It appears as though this painting can be repaired, if it has any value. We are not art experts. We do not know if this is an original or not. We have not found a signature. The canvas appears to be very old and heavy. It was adhered to some type of boards, which had mostly separated. We just bought this last Saturday, May 11, 2000. The painting was laying on the floor, partially folded, in the dealers booth. We paid $31.50 US dollars. We bought it for the beauty of the painting. I have been researching this painting to find out who the artist was, and any information that could help us. There is a mezzotint print up for sale on ebay auction. Seller had some information and pictures posted, if this may help. I would be very happy to e-mail pictures of this painting, but I don't know how to attach them on this reply message. If you would e-mail me at oldantiquer@webtv.net I can e-mail them to you. We will be out of town for several weeks. I can e-mail them at this time, If I don't hear from you by 9:00 PM est. We are still researching, we would appreciate any and all information regarding this painting. Barbara McCrackenoldantiquer@webtv.net
