This is the tartan of Clan MacAlister. This sample comes from the MacGregor Hastie Collection, which forms the basis of the cloth archive of the Scottish Tartans Society kept at Fanab House in Pitlochry. It is identical to
the
MacGillivray hunting
tartan. The design is
related to
the MacDonald group
of tatans, The tartan is available from the clan MacAlister Centre of Glenbarr, and is sold in aid of the restoration fund for the family seat.
