' HUNT FOR RAEBURN'S LOST PAINTINGS '

Sir Henry Raeburn is thought to have completed over 1000 works of art during his lifetime.

Today, examples of his work grace the walls of
many of the great art galleries of the world,
where they can readily be viewed by the public.

Unfortunately, there are many others which are either held in
private collections and smaller museums and galleries,
and are therefore inaccessible to the general public.

This site intends to create an archive to give the
public of the world an opportunity to view, on-line,
as many of Raeburn's painting that can be found.

But YOUR help
is needed to help locate these paintings.

If you think you know the whereabouts of a Raeburn painting,
then please let us know.

It may well be in your local art gallery or museum,
we need to know where they are so we can
update the archive !

If you can get a print, photograph, catalogue, etc., so much the better.

If you own a Raeburn ( Oh, you lucky people ! )
please consider letting us have an image of it to display on these pages.

We will fully respect your wish to remain anonymous,
if that is what you desire.

All we ask is that you let many other art lovers share
a glimpse of your Raeburn painting.
