Comfortable
Shoes # 2
A lot of my friends wear high heeled shoes to work. They also wear them
when they go out at night, and quite often I see them wearing them
during the day on the weekends. I don’t know what’s
wrong with me, but I would prefer to have comfortable shoes as opposed
to once the supposedly make my feet look good. This was never more
apparent to me than when I went on a road trip this summer. Though some
of my favorite shoes were with me, I always ended up wearing the
comfortable ones.
I have nothing against heels, or other fashionable shoes. In fact,
I’m a shoe junkie. My husband knows that when we walk by a
shoe store he had better distract me, or we will be going inside. I
love all sorts of shoes and all sorts of boots. However, the ones I
usually end up wearing the most are the comfortable shoes. I like the
look of some of the other ones, but once my feet start to hurt I want
to take them off. I have one pair of comfortable shoes that I have had
for three years. The only way I’m going to get rid of them is
if I can find another pair that are exactly the same.
Most
of my friends will agree that comfortable shoes are the best. However,
this doesn’t stop them from hurting their feet. I have gone
out at
night with apparently really great shoes, only to regret leaving my
comfortable shoes at home. I remember one day when I went to an all-day
event, and by the end of the day my feet were swollen and I had six
blisters along the back of one of my feet. From that day forward I
remembered to have a pair of comfortable shoes in the trunk of my car
at all times. You never know when you’re going to need them.
Almost
everyone has that one pair of comfortable shoes that they love. The
problem with this is that usually by the time they wear out you can no
longer find that same shoe in the store. If you find a pair of
comfortable shoes that you have absolutely fallen in love with, you
might want to go to the store and buy a spare pair or two. That way,
when you’re comfortable shoes wear out, you will have a brand
new pair
waiting for you. I know some people do this with jeans, or perhaps
their favorite sweatshirts, and for me it’s always the shoes.
