Address
and Phone
Number Even
though it is easier to find missing people by looking for them
online, you still will have better luck trying to find an address or
phone number the old fashioned way. I never thought I would think
calling information would be considered old fashioned, but in
today’s world it most certainly is. You can find this
information
online too, but there are just some directories in some parts of the
country that are not entirely online, and some people opt out of having
their information included in an Internet directory. Sometimes, you
just have to pick up the phone and ask someone.
Quite often you
find both address and phone number at the same time. If
someone’s number is listed, there may be an abbreviated
address
after his or her number in the phone book. This is to help you decide
which person you are looking for. If you are looking for the address
and phone number of Jane Smith, you may find six people with the same
name, even in a small town. If you are looking in a city directory, you
may find heaps more. If you have an idea about where they live, this
may help you narrow down your options.
If you
look for address and phone number online, you may even come up
with an email address for the person you are searching for. The problem
with this is that people change email addresses more often than they
move, and at times you might be finding a very old email address. Even
worse, even if the address and phone number are listed, the email may
be for someone else entirely. These listings are far from perfect, but
sometimes they are all you have to go by.
If you really need
to find someone, but you are coming up with a blank,
you can always look for the address and phone number of a relative of
the person you are looking for. If you know the name of their parents,
or perhaps even the street where they live, you might be able to
contact them. They may be more stable and live in the same place. They
may not want to give out the address and phone number of their child to
just anyone, so if you go this route, you may want to simply say you
are an old friend. You might then give them your address and phone
number and tell them to give the message to their child that you are
trying to find them.
