THREAVE CASTLE

( A ' Historic Scotland ' site ).

This massive tower, situated on an island in the River Dee,
was built by Archibald the Grim in the late 14th century,
and was later the stronghold of the Black Douglases.

Ring the bell and the custodian will come to ferry you over.

Car parking. Bus parking. Toilets. Shop. Picnic Area.

Open summer only.
April - September
Monday - Saturday, 9.30am - 6.30pm.
Sunday, 2pm - 6.30pm.
