TANTALLON CASTLE

EAST LOTHIAN .

( A ' Historic Scotland ' site ).




Set on the edge of the cliffs, looking out to the Bass Rock,
this formidable castle was a stronghold of the Douglas family.

It features earthwork defences and a massive 50 foot - high 14th century curtain wall with towers.

Display includes replica guns.

Car parking. Bus parking. Toilets. Exhibition. Refreshment facilities. Shop. Picnic Area

April - September
Monday - Saturday, 9.30am - 6.30pm.
Sunday, 2pm - 6.30pm.

October - March
Monday - Saturday ( except Thursday afternoons & Fridays ), 9.30am - 4.30pm.
Sunday, 2pm - 4.30pm.
