CRAIGMILLAR CASTLE

near EDINBURGH .

( A ' Historic Scotland ' site ).

Mary Queen of Scots fled to Craigmillar after the murder of Rizzio,
and it was here that the plot was hatched for the murder of her husband, Lord Darnley.

The Castle is featured in the BBC production of Ivanhoe.

April - September
Monday - Saturday, 9.30am - 6.30pm.
Sunday, 2pm - 6.30pm.

October - March
Monday - Saturday ( except Thursday afternoons & Fridays ), 9.30am - 4.30pm.
